Saint Leo University’s governing board is a group of volunteers who exemplify the university’s six core values. Dick_Johnson
After graduating from Saint Leo College with a degree in business administration, Colonel Richard W. “Dick” Johnson ’68 joined the U.S. Marine Corps and attended Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA. He served in Vietnam and completed a stateside tour at Camp Pendleton (CA), continued his military career in the Marine Corps Forces Reserve, and retired after 38 years of service. In 1977, he joined Smith Barney Harris Upham & Co. (now Morgan Stanley) and provided individuals, families, and businesses with financial advice for more than 35 years. He is a senior member and first vice president of Wealth Management for The Johnson Tamney Group at Morgan Stanley. He and his wife, Karen, live in Lakeland, FL. They have two grown daughters and four grandsons.
