Saint Leo University’s governing board is a group of volunteers who exemplify the university’s six core values. Edwin “Ed” Narain ’07, ’09 has served the Tampa Bay (FL) community for more than two decades. He has worked with several organizations that are committed to helping children and the working poor. He is a member of the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County and has served on the Hillsborough County Head Start Policy Council and the Hillsborough County Community Action Board. A regional director for AT&T, he is a three-time Florida Top Performance Manager of the Year. In 2014, he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives from District 61, and he is currently chairman of the Florida Legislative Black Caucus. He earned a BA in psychology and an MBA from Saint Leo University. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. He and his wife, Monica, have two daughters.
