Motivational speaker and mentor April Holmes, the 2015 Inspirational Athlete of the Year, told her moving story October 12 at University Campus. A three-time Paralympic medalist and world record holder, Holmes has redefined what it means to live with a disability. Her presentation, “Stop Limping Thru Life and Start Running,” addressed overcoming obstacles and achieving greatness.
